Country Programme
The strategy of the Republic of Macedonia and an Action Plan for Phasing-Out of Substances That Deplete the Ozone Layer.

Phase out of methyl bromide in agriculture
Based on the results from the demonstration project, phase-out project is implemented in tobacco seedling and horticulture production. The selected alternatives are floating tray system for tobacco seedlings and biofumigation with solarization for the horticulture production.

Frinko - Bitola
Phase-out of CFC-11/12 in the refrigerator production plant through conversion of technology.

Methyl Bromide - Demonstration project
The objective of the project was to demonstrate the technical and economic feasibility of alternative methods to the use of methyl bromide for the production of tobacco transplants and vegetables.

Halon Management Plan
The Plan defines accelerated halon phase-out and elimination through most effective methods for its implementation.

Refrigeration Management Plan
The aim of the project RMP is to develop a comprehensive and detailed programme for recovery and recycling of ozone depleting substances used for servicing refrigeration equipment in the country (training programme on good practices in refrigeration maintenance for service technicians; training of customs officers; recovery and recycling of refrigerants) contributing to prevent unnecessary emission of the refrigerants into the atmosphere.

Sileks - Kratovo
Phase-out of CFC-11 from the production of rigid and flexible foams.

Institutional Strengthening Phase I, II, III IV and V
Providing mechanisms for accelerated phase-out of substances that deplete the ozone layer.

Terminal phase-out management plan
The project Terminal Phase-Out Management Plan is one step ahead; however the final one, which is related to the renowned chlorofluorocarbons or CFCs, is being adopted by the Republic of Macedonia in the frame of a long-term action on elimination of the substances with the highest ODP value.

Demonstration Project on the Replacement of CFC Centrifugal Chillers
The project objective is the demonstration of the reduction of the ODS consumption through phase-out of ODS containing centrifugal chillers in NBM (National Bank of Macedonia) and Organic-chemical Industry Skopje (OHIS).
